Author Read-Alikes and Your Next Favorite Book

If you’re a NoveList user, you probably know about our Author Read-Alikes – and if you don’t, you’re in for a treat. If there’s a certain author your patrons love, but have read to the point they can quote any chapter on demand, Author Read-Alikes are a great way to find similar authors that may not have made it onto their radar otherwise. We are updating ARAs monthly so your patrons will have a never-ending stack of books to try out – they will find fresh information on the subject of the article, as well as updated Read-Alike suggestions.

As your patrons delve into new author territory, they’ll find all the important info they need to make a decision about their next read – reasons why the authors are Read-Alikes along with brief author descriptions, books to start with, and series if the Read-Alikes authors write them.

Here’s just a sampling of updated Author Read-Alikes you can find in NoveList:

  • Nicholas Sparks – for the lovers of bittersweet endings.
  • Daphne du Maurier – for the neo-Gothic fan.
  • Kathy Reichs – for those who live and breathe suspense.
